Some random personal branding anecdotes (and thoughts)
When asked to suggest concepts for a launch logo for BMW‘s Z4, our research led us to make the rather profound recommendation of "doing nothing". They didn't need one and so we said so. (See honesty.)
You will probably gather as you go through this site that I am rather sensitive about the notion of just designing logos, calling them a brand and hoping that an organisation will change as a result.

Here‘s the truth. It wasn‘t my idea to ask seymourpowell to design a motorcycle for Intelligent Energy. It was my idea, however, to introduce them and have those world class industrial designers take a look at how the perception of fuel cells could be altered by innovative product thinking. I said that designing a bike could be done by them in their sleep. I was wrong. But I‘m pleased that I was – and that they did. The rest is history…
